WHO WE ARE
We are an active student branch of the IEEE, based at the Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. Our branch was first established in 2005. We handle all the social, academic, and charitable needs of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering undergraduate and graduate students at the Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS.
IEEE Day Celebrations is never confined to a single day at IEEE UTP SB. Rather, we extensively dedicate an entire week to IEEE related events and activities. Workshops, Talk sessions and a wide variety of other events are conducted with great zeal.
We at IEEE UTP SB aim to provide a technical home, a place where each student member can develop and hone skills that will earmark them for prominent positions in their careers. Through volunteering in the variety of workshops and events that we host, speaking in and attending chapter sessions, our members get to explore new realms of interest and adapt to different situations enabling them to easily fit into any technical or professional role, even after their student life. We aim at providing an ideal platform for collaboration and interaction between students and professionals, facilitating the exchange of new ideas and fostering the growth of novel innovations.
WEEKLY AND MONTHLY SESSIONS
Weekly and Monthly Sessions of the various societies of our student branch are regularly attended by enthusiastic students. These sessions foster assimilation of knowledge accrued from various sources and encourage doubts and innovative thinking. The sessions are conducted on a range of topics with some being tandalone ones and others being session series.
